Mantua 2-6-6-2T Engine Tune Up

Here's a procedure for using hand tools to make the PU (pickup) wire boards. You can use a
rough-cut file to file off the letters so the circuit board will fit evenly on the bottom plate.

Locating the female plug and marking the spot with a scriber.

"pre-tinned" with a drop of solder on the board.

Solder on the female pin.

Cut off the long tang.

With that done now it's time to add the wiper wires.
That is best done with the bottom secured to the frame
for precise placement of the wires.

Add flux paste, plus the wire.

After soldering on the wire, I gently pushed the wire to make contact with the wheel.
