TT Track Work

Since the task board was not to be a viable option to tie strip production another method was needed. I had done
some resin casting before and thought this might just be the way to approach making tie strips. What follows has
been about a year of experimentation. Some successful, some not. I'm using my CNC Sherline to mill Plexiglas masters.

Using a CAD program I drew up a drawing that was then converted to G-code for the machine. A piece of Plexiglas has been secure to the machine ready for milling.

First cut of master mold.

Finish milled master.

Gluing on thin strips of styrene to simulate tie plates.

Both sides with tie plates.

Plexiglas sides added and rubber poured.

Bootom view of master.

Master out of the mold. A good mold was poured.
