Logging Terminal Engine House

This will be my first attempt to scratch build a TT scale engine house board by board. The engine house is a conglomeration of designs
I gleaned from several model magazines. It's design leans toward John Allen's two stall engine house. I drew it up in 2D and 3D CAD.

All the beams have been stained , are
dry and ready for the frame assembly.

A copy of the 1:1 frame was printed out and spray glue
used to attach the drawing to a 12" X 24" steal plate.
On top of that a sheet of wax paper was glued on to the
drawing. To make sure the frame would come out
square I used 1/4" thick aluminum strips with
magnets to hold them down.

An assortment of magents to help hold the beams in place.

Using a machinist square to make
sure the aluminum strips are square.

Smaller magnets hold the beams
in alignment while the glue dries.

Progress on the frame assembly.

Using a laser cut window to place the beams properly.

A quick jig used to cut pieces to length.

And a couplr more.

The first finished framed wall.
