I then built up a frame using brass square tubing and soldered together using my resistance soldering rig. Don't think it looks to bad. Much better design at 6 feet wide instead of 8 feet. Now to design a shell out of styrene.

I shortened the trailer to 24ft. It looks much better shorter.
Also added a shell and strips to show the panels used to build
the body. The back of the cab still looked pretty bare at this
point.

A rail-truck built by a member, Louis, on the Railroad Line
Forum inspired the creation of a similar cab for my truck.

That picture and his thread gave me the inspiration to come
up with something similar. So of to the computer CAD
program for a quick draw up of a similar cab.

The drawing is converted from a DWG to a DXF file and into the CAM program to generate the G codes.

G code file transferred to the computer that runs the mill and
the program is dry run (no cutting being done)to check and see
if it's what I began with. Looks good.

Fired up the CNC mill and cut out the parts.

I used spray adhesive to attach .020" thick styrene to a piece
of MDF. Fastened that to the mill table and proceeded to cut
out the pattern.

Peeled off the outer part to reveal the sides for the truck.

The sides are removed. A bit of clean up on the fuzzy edges and remove the sticky adhesive with some denatured alcohol.
